The Ouyang Hai Martyr Monument is located in Ouyang Hai Village, Xintang Town, where Ouyang Hai sacrificed himself. On November 18, 1963, the communist fighter Ouyang Hai gave his life to save a passenger train and thousands of travelers by pushing a startled horse. The monument was built in 1967 and listed as a provincial cultural relic in 1972. It features a statue of Ouyang Hai pushing the horse, and a nearby exhibition room displays photos, paintings, and artifacts of his life, as well as inscriptions by party and state leaders.

欧阳海烈士纪念碑： 位于新塘镇欧阳海村，是欧阳海壮烈牺牲的地方。1963年11月18日，共产主义战士欧阳海，为抢救人民列车和上千名旅客，挺身推惊马，献出宝贵的生命。1967年建碑，1972年列为省级文物保护单位。塑有欧阳海推马形象，碑旁建有陈列室，展出欧阳海成长的照片、画幅和实物，还有党和国家领导人董必武、叶剑英、聂荣臻等的题词。
欧阳海烈士纪念碑在衡东县西北23公里的新塘镇，京广铁路一侧的丘陵上，纪念碑有欧阳海烈士推马救列车的水泥塑像，高10米，占地3000平方米，旁有纪念馆，陈列有烈士的生平事迹与实物。属省重点文物保护单位。
