Located in the mountainous eastern area of Hengnan County, 45 km from Hengyang city, Longxi Lake Scenic Area centers on 'one lake and four caves.' The lake covers 3,000 square meters with a capacity of 40 million cubic meters and a depth of over 20 meters, fed by natural springs, clear and pollution-free. The four caves include Baquan Cave and Chuankou Cave.

龙溪湖风景区的核心景点由“一湖四洞”为主体组成。“一湖”是指龙溪湖，水面3000平方米，容水量4000万立方米，水深达20余米，湖中有数个自然泉，水质透明清澈，无毒无污染。“四洞”是指龙溪湖周边众多的天然溶洞，其中以豹泉洞、川口洞、麦园洞、桑田四大溶洞景观最佳。洞奇石美，洞内有洞，洞洞相连。容洞内遍布做到挂的钟乳石，千姿百态，步入洞中犹如置身仙境。
