1929年，花垣县城宋氏家族在原镇台衙署旧址建崇山公园，园内有楼台亭阁、池塘花木、栏杆长廊、假山石凳、动物园、图书馆、操场等，古色古香，林阴蔽山，为游览避暑之佳地。1941年，在崇山公园内建县立初级中学，公园逐步被毁，现为县民族中学和教师进修学校校址。
Chongshan Park
In 1929, the Song family of Huayuan County built Chongshan Park on the former site of the Zhentai government office. The park featured pavilions, ponds, flowers and trees, railed corridors, rockeries, stone benches, a zoo, a library, and a playground. With its antique charm and tree-shaded hills, it was an ideal place for sightseeing and summer retreat. In 1941, a county junior middle school was built within Chongshan Park, and the park was gradually destroyed. It is now the site of the County Ethnic Middle School and the Teachers' Continuing Education School.
