Huangshizhai Scenic Area — Natural Fresco

Near the top of Huangshizhai, looking back east, the cliff on the western edge of Yaozizhai a thousand meters away bears weather-eroded textures and scattered flowers and shrubs, forming a natural fresco full of Tujia folk flavor. On it one can vaguely see stilted houses nestled among green trees, a shepherd boy leading a cow along a stone path toward a stilted house; in front of the house is a grain-drying yard, a ladder leans against the wall, and corn cobs and chilies hang from the eaves; not far away seem to be a small bridge over a stream, a slanting sun on an ancient path, fertile fields and beautiful ponds.
