Beside the path 500 meters east of the Thousand-Mile Meeting Peak stands a nanmu tree about 7 meters tall with a trunk diameter of about 20 cm. Its trunk splits into two one meter above the ground and merges back into one about 1.5 meters higher, seamlessly, with lush branches and leaves. On May 25, 2005, Wang Yeyuan, vice mayor of Zhangjiajie, led a delegation to Kambu Town, Hokkaido, Japan, and signed an agreement making the Reunion Tree and Kambu Town's Enishi Katsura tree friendly sister trees.

千里相会峰东５００米处的路旁，有１株高约７米、胸径约２０厘米的楠木树。其树干在离地面１米处分为二，再往上１．５米左右复合为一，天衣无缝，枝叶繁茂。２００５年５月２５日，张家界市副市长汪业元率团赴日本北海道工部町访问，就“重欢树”与日本北海道工部町“缘桂树”缔结“友好姊妹树”签订协议文本。
