Jinbian Stream Scenic Area — Drunken Arhat

Facing Jinbian Rock across the stream, it stands on a slope over 200 meters high. Uniform in thickness from top to bottom, with a rounded, reddish body, it leans toward Jinbian Stream at a 70-degree angle, resembling a drunken arhat — seemingly falling yet not, seemingly drunk yet not, humorous and witty. Qing Dynasty scholar Peng Zhichen wrote the character 'Zhong' (Loyalty) on the cliff face. In 1824 (4th year of Daoguang), tribute student Peng Zhiyun composed 'Record of Cliff Loyalty' to commemorate the site. Through the ages, the 'Zhong' character was destroyed by rockfalls, but the Record survives in local gazetteers.
