Huangshizhai Scenic Area — Tianqiao Yidun (Bridge Abutments)

Below the northwestern cliff edge of Huangshizhai, six oval stone pillars over 200 meters tall stand in a north-south line across a valley about 2,000 meters long between Huangshizhai and Yuanjiajie. The pillars are similar in size and spacing, each topped with a flat platform, resembling bridge piers awaiting a bridge deck. The middle two are slightly taller, with the sides gradually decreasing. Their tops form an arc, magnificent in scale. Below, the riverbed is dry with jagged rocks and sparse trees, evoking a wild, desolate antiquity. On rainy days, clouds fill the valley like a river.
