Pipa Stream Scenic Area — Dragon and Phoenix Rocks · Dragon and Phoenix Nunnery

South of the Huaxiangpo mountain pass lies the Dragon and Phoenix Ancient Trail, built along the mountain with towering rock walls and dense greenery on both sides. Looking up at the right cliff top, a stone peak about 100 meters high resembles a phoenix — head raised, neck stretched, crowned with a crest, wings slightly spread, gazing southwest toward the clouds as if about to soar. Across the valley, a peak shaped like a dragon's head rears into the blue sky, forming with the Phoenix Rock a scene of dragon soaring and phoenix flying. In the Ming Dynasty, because of the "rugged stone walls rising like a crouching dragon, and emerald forests shaped like a flying immortal phoenix," a nunnery was built here.
