Yaozizhai Scenic Area — Layered Rocks and Towering Peaks

Along the northern edge of Yaozizhai's summit are several cliff outcrops jutting out like platforms. From these, you look down into a steep valley over 300 meters deep, where dozens of stone peaks rise like a forest of pagodas. Some cliff faces are reddish-brown, others gray-white, all with horizontal joints and layered formations. The peaks vary in diameter from several to over ten meters, tall or short, some thicker at top, some pointed, some round and flat, all glistening in sunlight, topped with ancient pines or shrubs.
