The Yangjiajie Cableway is located in the western part of the Wulingyuan core scenic area, connecting the lower station of the Huangshizhai Cableway to Yangjiajie (the middle section is linked by a 1.5-km sightseeing walkway, about a 15–20 minute walk, with eco-friendly shuttle buses at both ends). Construction of the station buildings and line began in 2012, and it was put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2013. Expected annual visitor numbers are 887,000 and 1.23 million.
